Ordinary Genius

A Guide for the Poet Within.

Kim Addonizio is one of America’s most treasured poets. She also happens to be a writer I have admired and tried to emulate. I think she would be proud of that since her new book, Ordinary Genius, clearly suggests that aspiring poets should learn from the masters. And Addonizio is certainly a master. Even if you are not a poet, or aspiring to be one, you could learn from her writings. Kim says her book is about creativity and that poetry just happens to be the main subject since it is her personal creative vehicle.

I read through the book in a day, completely captivated by her easy writing style. It's a text book though, so I'll be reading it every day. Check out Kim Addonizio.-Kendall
